Angus SandfordAngus has it worse. No really, if you come back home one day after an exceptionally shitty day at work/school, just tell yourself: Angus has it worse. He works double shifts at the worse place there is (the Power-Mart) and sleeps on the couch. Even when the 77CA crew gets inexplicably transposed in the videogame reality, Angus still get stuck with the crappiest jobs possible. Because of his undesirable position in the social food chain, Angus seems perpetually bitter and sullen. He kinda is in fact. On a final note, Angus swallows almost inhuman quantities of caffeine in order to make through the weekdays.
DamasDamas is one of the two "official" tenants of apartment 77. He's lazy, sloppy and wears a bathrobe all day long (except at work). He somehow has access to a large quantity of Spanish gold coins, with which he acquires all sorts of superfluous items. Despite his fortune, he does work part-time, but he can't keep a steady job. Damas could be described as the natural antithesis of Khain and, indeed, seems to revel in the act of harassing and annoying his roommate. If blamed for any error or mischief, Damas will promptly and invariably blames Khain or mythical creatures (such as leprechauns).
Khain ZanshinKhain is one of the tenants of the apartment 77. This cool-headed character works at the local dojo and provides training to people who seek to know how to defend themselves. The only thing that can make him lose his temper is his roommate Damas' standard behavior. Khain has two consciences: the first one, named "Khain we're used to", is rather cynical and Khain tend to follow his advices; the second one, dubbed "Evil Khain", always suggests unnecessary violence and world-ending scenarios (which Khain doesn't perceive as very realistic). Khain's ninja training and weapons often come in handy when a new monster shows up at the apartment or when Damas refuses to do something (like paying his rent share or pronounce the "h" in Khain's name).
Kisa DerzhavinAs See'Em would say, Kisa is the "normal" one. Normal meaning, by the 77CA standards: not hopelessly sociopathic. She's usually the first one to spot logical gaps or absurd physics when the crew and her visit a new alternate reality. In the real life, she's a student at the local college and sometimes train at Khain's dojo when she has spare time. She lives with her father, who is quite protective of her, to say the least.
See'EmSee'Em is a robot made for only two purposes: making extra-strong coffee and powergaming. When seen bestowing coffee cups to everybody, one could believe him to be really generous (and indeed he is... with caffeine). In fact, See'Em is a phonetic way to say "C.M.", which stands for Caffeine Monster. Although he's a gentle sentient coffee machine in real life, his behavior shifts completely in the gaming world. If it's impossible to powergame, netgain or godmode, he's not interested. Surprisingly, Zack didn't build him. Damas and Khain did (at least, they both pretend to). Maybe that's why he's behaving like that.
Zack DerzhavinZack is a freelance scientist. He emigrated from Russia about two decades ago, possibly because of problems with the military. He has one daughter, Kisa, and is overly protective of her. Even though he doesn't live at apartment 77, he does spend a great amount of his time there (he affirms that the "creative chaos" helps him think). Because of the many patents filed under his name, Zack is able to live quite comfortably and pay for his daughter college bills. He has access to many dangerous high-tech devices and weapons that he constructed himself. When he isn't creating more unstable machinery, Zack enjoys explaining the underlying physics and principles behind common phenomenons (even in the videogame reality).
